The weekly sessions are taken by two experienced coaches Ian
Rossiter and Lewis Evans, both are FA licensed with relevant
child protection and safeguarding qualifications.
The sessions include: ball mastery, passing and receiving
techniques, shooting, dribbling, 1 v 1 duals and small sided
games to develop your child’s football skills and increase their
self-confidence.
Children will also learn life skills such as team play,
communication skills, discipline and perseverance.
The coaches:
Ian is UEFA B and FA Advanced Youth Award qualified and is
an Acquisition Scout with Southampton FC. Previously Ian was
at Bristol City FC Academy for over 20 years. His last position
at Bristol City was Pre Academy Manager where he was
responsible for recruitment and coaching for Academy boys
aged 6-8.
Lewis is also UEFA B and FA Youth Award qualified and has
also worked at Bristol City Academy as a coach
Player progression:
From the Development Group, children move into Whitchurch
Sports U7’s Team. Any players showing potential to play
Academy football are fast-tracked into Southampton FC (Bristol
DC) at Keynsham.
